More on AI and writing

ChatGPT (and similar LLMs) will get you 90% of the way there. Which means if you are using ChatGPT to write your sales materials, you will convert about 10% of the time, which in B2B leads to bankruptcy.

If you are a going concern, you will usually convert 20% to 25% of the time in B2B. In other words, if you are a going concern, ChatGPT will make you worse.

ChatGPT is a great sounding board and research tool. I use it almost every day. However, it makes your writing convert less if you are already halfway decent.

Remember what I say often (I suspect I’ve said it here at least a few times): Writing is not about words. ChatGPT and other LLMs are good with words, but if your job has anything to do with writing, don’t get lazy and think you can just farm things out to ChatGPT. Writing is not about words. Don’t ever get caught in the trap of thinking that it is.
